MISSION READY
We are always working to make our certified dogs better and always looking to add to our tool box. Today we are certified and ready to assist in wilderness air scent as well as human remains detection (HRD). We are in the process of training tracking/trailing canines and continuing to build up our air scent and HRD capability.

CURRENT CERTIFIED K9'S

K-9 SPECIAL TEAMS’ VISION
We are driven by our vision to provide search agencies with highly capable search teams conditioned and trained for all possible mission needs. We relentlessly strive to make the best search tools available for our teams, and train to the highest standards. Our long-term goals are outlined by the following:

ADVANCED PERSONNEL
Train, test and maintain all team members for advanced navigational, wilderness and canine operations.

SKILLED CANINES
Train, test and maintain canines for extreme and/or difficult scent detection missions.

ADVANCED MEDICAL CAPABILITY
Provide every team deployed into the field with a Wilderness First Responder qualification or greater medical skill level.

TECHNICAL ROPE READY
Even dog teams need to use rope from time to time in rescue or recovery. Our goal is to train and certify all members in basic technical rope rescue.

ADVANCED SAR EQUIPMENT
High quality equipment allows our teams to work faster, longer and more efficiently allowing incident command to systematically locate the subject safely.

MOBILE COMMAND/RELAY CAPABILITY
All of our teams deployed into the field are outfitted with 50-watt radios allowing our teams to act as a relay if needed. We also outfit our teams with laptops loaded with MapTech Terrain Navigator Pro allowing for greater coordination with other teams in the field and Incident Command.
